Wootton Bridge

Wootton Bridge is a village of some 4000 inhabitants, situated adjacent to main transport links to and from the Isle of Wight and within the thriving North East Wight focus of economic development. The village has a strong sense of community, reflected in the success of local interest groups, the Parish Council, and – most recently - the WBBA in working together as the Wootton Bridge Village Partnership to deliver services and regeneration initiatives for all.

The Parish Council website www.woottonbridge.com contains details of the comprehensive range of council and community services available from the dedicated Village Help & Information Centre in Brannon Way.

The Village History group of volunteers are compiling records and images of Wootton Bridge in days gone by, with a view to preserving village history online for current and future generations.

'Walks about Wootton'

Set in beautiful surroundings between sea, creek and ancient woodland, Wootton Bridge is a great place to unwind and enjoy the scenery. Why not stay a while, and take one of the themed ‘Walks About Wootton’ guides to discover what lies hidden on the by-ways around the village - from Bob Dylan to Queen Victoria, and red squirrels to steam trains?
